about

about past addictions and the addictions of others

lyrics

Its 3am and I’m wide awake
I wished lived sober back then
But I made so many mistakes
Wish I was a man of my word
But my addictions were at stake
I’d make a promise to myself
Just to watch it crumble and break
I was jonesin
But I ended up doing fine
I remember that addiction,
Cause my past reminds me all the time

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know

I went to my DR and I told her everything Id seen
I told her about a vision I got with plenty of spirit filled dreams
I told her I’d seen demons and few dirty devils to
She just laughed at me, I said
Women the Devils is laughing at you
He’s blinded your mind so that you can’t see
Well there is a savoir that died for sin because we’re all guilty
He rose from the dead and he conquered his own grave
We can never pay him back now for the eternal life he gave

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know

A life that’s wasted
A spark that’s all gone
There’s no more jump in his step
He’s been fighting that addiction too long
He should’ve never tried drugs
On that one fateful day
Cause ever since then they won’t let him get away
He lost his home, his job, and now he has no place to stay
And He’s been looking for fix just to get him through the day
----You might think that I've been talking all about me
But I've seen other people go down
Thinking they were drug free

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know

When I look in the mirror I’m not sure I like what I see
This isn’t the child I remember I see starring back at me
I looked for my innocence and I was wondering where did it go?
But then I remember my past and instantly I know
